Sheila Moon is a rare combination of competitive cyclist, clothing designer, and patternmaker. She combines these talents to create functional cycling apparel that is whimsical and fashionable, but above all, comfortable.
Sheila graduated from the San Francisco Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in 1989. She has worked as a freelance designer and patternmaker since 1997, while also evolving into a champion cyclo-cross (an extreme version of cycling) racer
Sheila employs a bit of a wild streak as part of her design process, but the structure and finish is not a matter of chance. She has a keen focus on fit, fabric, and construction, drawing on her many years of experience as a bike racer, to create styles that are simply perfect for the pure cyclist. Sheila offers styles with a special twist, adding a touch of whimsy color and style to the world of cycling “black”. Her apparel creations are luxurious because of the fabrics and the attention to detail, as well as exceptional due to an emphasis on fit and function.
While Sheila designs some of the best cycling apparel for men, her special emphasis is on the oft-neglected women's market. "Ultimately, I design for women like myself, strong and confident yet sexy and feminine" says Sheila. "My clothes fit active women on the move."
